"The game itself is good but the ads are too disruptive. I know you have to pay the bills but you can't even review a game without having to sit through the same ad that you've seen dozens of times first. update*** you misunderstood me. I can't even get to the point where I enjoy the game for all the ads at EVERY MOVE I MAKE. Plus that they take forever and by the time I get to where I can play again, I don't even want to. I spend 90% off my time on this app mad. I'm done. I'm deleting it now"
"The ads are a huge problem and the frequency interferes with gameplay. There have been times I moved a piece and a scam Amazon award popped up. The ads are loud and you can't turn off the volume. There was some traffic game that I had to play a sample of the game to get it to go away. Also it's not good at teaching. I was doing great until a certain level (Easy III?) and it suddenly became impossible to beat. Minimal instruction or help for learners."
"There are so many ads. The game seems fine overall. The jump in puzzle difficulty from normal to hard is a bit rough, but that's fine. however, every single puzzle you complete, and every time you make a wrong move, you have to watch an ad, which will be a game. You either have to try the game or wait 20+ seconds and then it still takes you to a black screen with the only option being to click the store link for said game for another 10 seconds or so before you can exit back to the puzzle."
"I liked it at first, but there was a glitch that ruined the experience. Whenever I played black it would switch the board state mid game out of nowhere. For example, if I was playing black and winning, the game would turn the board around and force me to play the white pieces instead. It happened 4 times, so I uninstalled the game, hopefully it gets fixed. Update: I gave it another chance and it happened again in the first match."
"Of all the chess apps I've tried, this is the best so far. The difficulty is reasonable, the gameplay is fine, BUT – I wish I could get rid of the ads. They're seriously ruining the experience. They launch the moment a game is done and take you right out of it. Dropping my rating to 2/5 because of it, will probably uninstall as soon as I can find something better."
