"Pretty great overall; the ads aren't super long or unskippable. I don't get, though, why you have to pay to practice multiple sets at once. That seems like a rather essential education feature to lock behind a paywall. Also, sometimes the writing is very touchy, and won't register strokes that are close enough. Yes, good form is important, but knowing the strokes themselves is arguably more important. Good app otherwise."
"Very good educational tool, from my studying outside of this app it is very accurate! Only have a few minor complaints that the kana are order in a bit of a strange way, you need to spend money to access the practice tool, there are ads, and when exiting to the menu it takes you the top not to where you were. Overall solid though can reccomend!"
"really useful app, instrumental in helping me learn to write and practice kana. my only gripe is that there's no way to change how characters are grouped/taught, so each kana is grouped with its dakuten counterpart. it would've been nice to be able to practice characters without dakuten separately, to help distinguish shapes, and add the dakuten ones later. e.g. instead of getting groups like かがきぎく , ぐけげこご getting かきくけこ as a set that can be practiced on its own. but it's free, can't complain!"
"The app has been hugely helpful for me to learn kana so far. I have the paid version for the comprehensive quiz option and it's been absolutely worth it. Only 4 stars instead of 5 because it's been lagging when recognizing my writing the last few weeks. While not the end of the world, it is definitely annoying compared to how it used to perform."
"It's a solid app. Simple. I wish the delete button wasn't over "tap to advance" button. I keep advancing when I want to start over. I advise putting the delete button at the top corner so it's out of the way and easy to find. Also, I wish I could explore the premium features without using them, because I would like to know what I'm buying before I make a purchase."
