"Was looking for a Playstation emulator to multi-disc games (i.e. Legend of Dragoon) and didn't want to have to go through the headache and pain of all the things required to transfer a game save from one disc to the next. Tried Retroarch and the app is great for the most part, but was a complete hassle when it came to that element. ePSXe automatically uploads the save file from one disc to the next. Absolutely worth the purchase."
"Great so far! Love being able to play my PS1 games in 60fps. One weird thing I noticed, I have an 8Bitdo Lite controller (the one with 3 d-pads). It registers two of the dpads as the same input but only allows me to use the one closer to the abxy buttons. This makes playing a little bit uncomfortable. This is probably just an issue with the controller rather than the emulator, but it would be nice to have a bit more control over button mapping."
"I'm using it on a high end Android TV Box. It was a breeze mapping my Bluetooth gamepad. It runs any PS1 ISO image you care to throw at it and runs them flawlessly. This is a very old emulator but is still being constantly updated. It's probably the best PS1 emulator for both Android and PC. I've been using it on PC for years and it didn't let me down on Android. PS1 games don't really need high end hardware to run well. YES, you will have to remap the buttons for each new gamepad. It's best to find a really good gamepad you like, map it once and stick with the same gamepad. It has certainly earned a 5 star rating."
"This is a really great PS1 emulator for android (best one I got so far), well worth my money. The frame rate is smooth, although I'm not really sure what it's capped at since I haven't checked to see if I can show the fps yet, but it runs good enough and no audio skips from what I heard, except maybe a few when a certain word in line is skipped like when I played Rainbow Six and the narrator said, "The year is 19 9" but that only happened once, so it's fine."
"Hands down my favorite PlayStation 1 emulator of all time. I'm editing my review because I thought it could not save files but I just did further testing and it created a save. Still the most lag free PS1 emulator ever. The Android version is superior to the PC one in my opinion. PCSX1 and swan station have audio clicks. I don't get that with epsxe. There seems to be a one to two minute save delay. Please add a notification for when saving is completed if possible. Thank you for making this!"
